Narrow but not straight

A twisty maze of narrow lanes is a good description of parts of the lovely hill town of Frascati. Charming in the evening, the town is equally charming in the dog days of summer. Like in many other Italian towns, houses lean on each other, so that some streets seem to be single frontages. The only way to tell one house from another is by looking for changes in colour. I would have liked to go out into the middle of the lane to take a photo, but the occasional car which came barrelling along could have smeared me on the paving. I had to stand back and look for a different view of the otherwise mundane lane.

I travel on work. When that gets too tiring then I relax by travelling for holidays. The holidays are pretty hectic, so I need to unwind by getting back home. But that means work.
